Tuition in Watercolours and Oils by Stuart Atkinson
Tuition is provided for up to 6 people at the artist's studio in Lower Ufford, and on location as weather permits.
Every year Stuart runs 10 week courses, each taking place on one day per week during spring, summer and autumn/winter. Currently these take place on Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 10 am and 1 pm.
All levels of skill are catered for, from complete beginners to those with more experience.
The courses are geared towards painting in watercolours and oils although tuition is given in other media. Please check availability for the next sessions.

Throughout the year Stuart runs painting workshops based at his comfortable studio in the village of Lower Ufford in the beautiful Deben Valley but within easy reach of Suffolk's famous coast and heaths. The number of participants on each workshop is limited to 6 to allow sufficient individual attention and the aim is to spend at least one day painting on location at one of many attractive locations in the area, weather permitting, and for which transport is provided if required. These workshops are currently aimed at people who have some previous experience in their chosen media.
Refreshments and lunch on both days are included, providing fresh homemade cuisine using local produce whenever possible and catering, of course, for vegetarian and special dietary requirements. Accommodation is available at a variety of B&Bs and hotels. Please click on the Accommodation link.
The ethos is to make your painting workshop a special experience. These midweek or weekend workshops will nurture and help develop your talent in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. The structure of each workshop is very much geared to the needs and desires of each particiular group or individual. If Suffolk is new to you, you will be enjoying a county famous for its huge skies and variety of landscape and based within a stone's throw of the hugely scenic coast and gentle estuaries.

* deposit is required with booking of £40 for a two day workshop and £20 for a one day workshop, non refundable within ten days of course dates.
